2014-2015 WNEA COMMITTEE MEMBERS
SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE:
To raise funds to be used exclusively for one or more scholarship recipients from each year's graduating class; decide the number of recipients and the amount to be given yearly.
SOCIAL COMMITTEE:
To arrange for WNEA picnics and other social gatherings.
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE:
To organize/conduct unified local, state, and national membership enrollment of non-members, inform members of policies, programs, services, and accomplishments of the Association.
AWARDS COMMITTEE:
To prepare ballots for nominations and of Teacher of the Year and other Association awards. To purchase, prepare for and give the awards at the end of the year recognition dinner. No member of this committee shall be a candidate for an award.
NOMINATIONS/ELECTIONS:
To prepare a written ballot for the election of officers, conduct elections with open nominations and secret ballots. No member of this committee shall be a candidate for office.
COMMUNIQUE COMMITTEE: Deb Hall, Chair
To produce a timely newsletter and any special written information for members.
PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE:
To develop and implement various public relations activities. To work with the media.
POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE:
To work on organizing School Board Elections, PAC drives, and to attend Jefferson County Labor meetings.
NEGOTIATIONS/PROFESSIONAL RIGHTS COMMITTEE (TAB):
This is to be called the TAB team which is chosen and voted on by the Executive Council.
